The Modern Bluewater project was the result of a deeply collaborative effort with the homeowner—who also served as the project’s architect.
With a shared vision of creating a light-filled, modern retreat for their blended family, we were brought in to elevate the architectural design, specify interior finishes, and furnish key spaces. The result is a tailored, organic-modern home that harmonizes clean-lined minimalism with thoughtful warmth and function.
With the homeowner also serving as the architect, we collaborated closely to develop refined elevations and 3D models that brought both his vision and his partner’s preferences to life.
Organic materials—like wood slat paneling, porcelain tile, and biophilic design features—were thoughtfully applied throughout the home to bring the outside in and reinforce a sense of calm.
We guided selections and styling across key areas of the home including the open-concept kitchen, dining, living, staircase, rec room, and multiple bathrooms—each space tailored with finishes that reflect both function and modern sophistication.
With large open spaces and expansive views, it was essential to select finishes that held visual weight without overwhelming the serene vibe. We curated textures and tones that provided just enough contrast to define each space.
A dramatic two-story ceiling in the kitchen posed a unique lighting challenge. Our solution? A custom wood beam installed above the island that not only visually grounded the space but cleverly concealed electrical wiring—allowing for beautiful pendant lighting that wouldn’t have been otherwise possible.
