Hawkswood

The Hawkswood New Build was a vision brought to life from a rough architectural sketch—transformed into a fully realized, modern Tudor-inspired home through our highly detailed design process. From drafting the complete interior in 3D to selecting every material, fixture, and finish, we collaborated closely with the client and builder over 2.5 years to craft a home that is both expansive and intimate. The design celebrates clean lines, organic materials, and sophisticated contrasts, all layered into a thoughtfully curated living experience.

Crafting a new home full of statement features and fine details.

Project Type:

High - End, Luxury

Investment Type:

Full-Scale 3D Design Development

We redrafted the home into a complete 3D model to visualize scale, flow, and creative design opportunities—ensuring every angle, detail, and transition felt purposeful and refined.

Material Palette Rooted in Nature

White oak floors, warm wood tones, marble and quartz surfaces, and subtle mixed metals came together in a palette that felt fresh, timeless, and tactile—balancing modernity with warmth.

Key Implementations

Master Suite as a Private Retreat

The bathroom became a spa-inspired sanctuary with mixed tile patterns, a custom quartz bench, wood ledge detailing, and carefully sourced lighting and plumbing to elevate the daily routine.

Architectural Detailing with Purpose

We enhanced the vaulted great room with natural wood beams, plank ceiling panels, and a statement fireplace clad in quartz, herringbone wallpaper, and custom Venetian plaster—creating a grounding focal point with layered texture and dimension.

Controlling Sound and Warmth in Open Spaces

To soften the large open-concept layout, we integrated soft furnishings, curated lighting layers, and acoustically beneficial surfaces to ensure the home remained both grand and cozy.

Challenges + Solutions

Visual Balance in the Kitchen Volume

The two-story kitchen wall presented a design void. We wrapped the tall drywall column in warm wood planks, creating architectural rhythm while visually tying into the upper hallway and adjacent spaces.

Managing Scale Across a Large Footprint

The home’s expansive size demanded intentional visual grounding. We achieved this through scale-appropriate furnishings, custom built-ins, and strategic material repetition that created flow and connection across zones.

Refining Pre-Set Architectural Plans

The client came to us with plans already in progress, but many features lacked clarity or cohesion. We thoughtfully fine-tuned architectural elements and design finishes without disrupting the builder’s timeline—ensuring design integrity without structural compromise.
