Lincoln’s Way began as a blank canvas — a fresh new build ready to become a deeply personal home. Our clients came to us seeking more than aesthetic direction; they needed thoughtful functionality tailored to their daily life. With a desire for clean architectural lines, custom storage solutions, and a neutral base layered with rich blues and deep charcoals, we curated a design that nods subtly to coastal inspiration while remaining grounded in its Midwestern setting. The result is a home that feels tailored, elevated, and effortlessly livable.
Storage was a top priority. In the office, we designed custom cabinetry to conceal a printer, paper shredder, files, and adjustable shelving for books — creating a workspace that feels streamlined yet hardworking. In the kitchen, we incorporated purposeful storage including a hidden dog food drawer, along with thoughtful compartmentalization for everyday essentials.
We established a simple, clean backdrop using warm whites and soft neutrals, allowing moments of rich blue and deep charcoal to create depth and contrast. This layered palette provides visual interest while maintaining timeless appeal.
Beyond cabinetry, the entire home layout was designed with daily life in mind — ensuring circulation, storage, and sightlines supported both comfort and flexibility as the family grows and evolves.
The clients wanted practical solutions for their dog without sacrificing aesthetics. We incorporated dedicated storage directly into the cabinetry — blending utility with beauty.
New builds can sometimes feel stark or generic. We introduced custom millwork, layered finishes, and architectural detailing to give the home warmth and personality from the start.
Rather than adding more cabinetry, we focused on smarter cabinetry. Adjustable shelving, concealed appliances, and purpose-built drawers ensure the home functions beautifully behind the scenes.
