Pine Street Remodel

For this refresh, we partnered with out-of-state clients looking to upgrade a home for their daughter—elevating builder-grade basics with custom finishes while honoring the vintage charm of the neighborhood. The design needed to feel rooted in the home’s character yet offer the functionality of a modern-day layout. From the kitchen and dining room to both bathrooms, our focus was on material upgrades, optimized flow, and thoughtful storage. Pops of green, warm tones, and classic silhouettes tied the spaces together in a way that felt both nostalgic and new.

A thoughtful renovation that honors vintage charm while introducing custom upgrades for modern living.

Kitchen, Dining + bathroom Remodel

Kitchen Layout Reimagined for Flow + Views

We redesigned the kitchen footprint to improve traffic flow, appliance placement, and sightlines—introducing a custom island for added prep space and connection to the adjacent dining area.

Vintage-Inspired Color Palette + Finishes

Layered greens, warm tones, and brass accents played into the home's mid-century charm, while modern materials like quartz counters and handmade-style tile kept the palette feeling fresh.

Key Implementations

Period-Conscious, Custom Material Selections

From cabinetry profiles to tile shapes and lighting finishes, every detail was curated to feel era-appropriate—striking a delicate balance between honoring the home’s age and elevating it for a new generation.

Spatial Flow in Confined Zones

Some rooms had awkward circulation or poor appliance placement. By rethinking layout—especially in the kitchen and primary bath—we created clearer paths, better views, and a more functional everyday experience.

Challenges + Solutions

Balancing Vintage with Updated

Our goal was to preserve the soul of the home without recreating an outdated aesthetic. We leaned into classic forms, heritage colors, and natural materials—delivering a timeless, collected feel that complements the home's architecture.

Designing Remotely for Out-of-State Clients

With the clients living out of state, we streamlined decisions via virtual meetings, mood boards, and highly visual documentation to keep them fully involved without the stress of travel.
