Lake Forest Primary Suite

What began as a cramped and dated primary bath and closet has been reimagined into a serene, spa-like retreat rooted in everyday functionality. Our client needed a space that not only looked fresh and elevated, but also better supported her daily routines—without disrupting the cohesive design language we’d already established throughout the rest of the home. This remodel introduced a balance of romantic detailing, thoughtful organization, and seamless flow, proving that beauty and utility can coexist in every square foot.

This serene, spa-inspired suite transformation balances timeless beauty with daily functionality.

Integrated Wet Room for Tub + Shower

We restructured the layout to house the freestanding tub and shower system within a centralized wet room—maximizing usability while minimizing water spread. Custom shampoo niches were tucked away to support a clean, minimalist visual.

Purpose-Driven Vanity Design

The previous double-tiered vanity lacked both storage and elegance. We replaced it with a full-height sink vanity designed for everyday function and a complementary sitting-height makeup vanity with its own dedicated drawer bank —combining beauty and practicality in perfect balance.

Key Implementations

Cohesive Material Palette + Architectural Arches

Cool blues, romantic cabinetry profiles, thin linear tiles, and warm gold hardware created a crisp yet timeless atmosphere. Soft architectural archways were incorporated throughout to add continuity and a subtle sense of luxury.

Limited + Inefficient Storage

Lack of functional storage was a top client frustration. By incorporating salon drawers, purposeful cabinets, and a dedicated seated vanity, we ensured that every personal care item had a place—no clutter, no compromise.

Challenges + Solutions

Outdated Layout with Poor Functionality

The original bathroom felt crowded and inefficient. We resolved this by relocating the tub and expanding the shower footprint, creating a more open and user-friendly flow through the introduction of a wet room concept.

Disjointed Suite Experience

The closet and bathroom once felt like two separate rooms. Through finish continuity and subtle design gestures like wallpapered ceilings and shared material selections, we created a seamless connection between the spaces.
